What type of websites can I create?
You can create websites for small-medium businesses, startups, projects, hobbies, etc. But, if you are looking to do e-commerce or a complex blog site, you will be better served by other web platforms:
- E-commerce websites: (sites with shopping carts) have deep nuances. We recommend using the industry de facto, Shopify. At this time, Legenn does not do shopping carts. Although, nothing is stopping you from having your homepage on Legenn with a "buy now" button linked to Gumroad, Etsy, Amazon or other platform where your store items are listed and transacted.
- Complex blogging sites: with tagging, comments, categories, sort and/or search functions are better done on a full CMS (Content Management System) the likes of WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, etc. On Legenn, a blog/article page is just another page with plenty of words and images.
Is my website secure?
Yes. 100% of all Legenn websites are transmitted securely - via SSL Secure Sockets Layer. SSL certificates for your websites are automatically created and maintained by the Legenn system.
Is my website fast?
Yes. Legenn websites are fast. Sites on paid plans for further optimised for high performance and very rapid delivery on the Internet.
Can I use my own custom domain name?
Yes.
Upgrade to a paid plan, point your own domain name to Legenn and enter your domain name in your Legenn site under "Settings". Done. It usually takes anywhere between 10 minutes to 48 hours for the rest of the Internet (to catch up) and gain access via your custom domain name.
There are many affordable domain name registrars (Dynadot, Cloudflare, NameCheap, etc.) to buy domain names for a steal. By keeping your domain name record seperate from your website platform, you have the flexibility to chose which website platform (including Legenn!) you want to use (point to) at any time.
